Day 1
- Upon arrival, enjoy a fresh welcome drink and settle into your rooms by the afternoon followed by a meet and greet with your Ameliya Guide and other group members in the evening.
- Your Guide (an expert Naturalist) will then brief you about the trip and also understand what you want to get out of this trip. This will be followed by a presentation where you’ll gain fascinating insights into Bandhavgarh’s ecology through a captivating presentation. Learn about the park’s diverse flora and fauna, animal tracking techniques, and how to interpret jungle behavior.

- Savor a delicious dinner followed by good old-fashioned conversation and thrilling safari stories, shared under a blanket of stars. End the day with a short night walk – an opportunity to witness the serenity and captivating sounds of the nocturnal jungle.
Days 2-4
- Early mornings set the stage for thrilling adventures – six exhilarating jeep safaris in search of Bandhavgarh’s Tigers, along with Leopards, Indian Gaur, Sloth Bears, hundreds of bird species.
- Witness the park come alive during the golden light of dawn as you enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast amidst the wilderness or stop at the ‘Center Point’ inside the park to step out of your jeeps and enjoy a cup of locally prepared tea with some maggi.
- Mid-mornings offer a chance to unwind at your lodge or to have a one-on-one session with your guide where you’ll learn more about wildlife and photography.
- Afternoon safaris present further opportunities to witness the wonders of Bandhavgarh.
Note: In between safaris, you can opt for a pre-dinner photography review session with your guide, or watch an engaging nature documentary.

The availability of Safari permits in Bandhavgarh is limited and tends to get sold out quickly. We advise planning your safari getaway at least 2 months in advance.

Payment Terms and Cancellations
- 50% of the paid amount is non-refundable upon cancellation.
- The remaining amount will be refunded if cancellation is done 65 days prior to the photo tour start dates.
- No refund if cancellation is done between 0 – 65 days of the event.
- Your spot on the tour is only guaranteed once the full payment has been made.
- Please note that the date of written communication (e-mail) of intent to cancel will be the date considered for calculation of the cancellation fees.
- Amendment in dates within 65 days from arrival is treated as a cancellation.
- Cancellation amount is calculated as per total booking amount and not as per advance deposited.
Inclusions
- Accommodation, all meals, tea/coffee, evening snacks
- Park Conservancy fees, morning and evening game drives in a shared vehicle, and supplemental walks.
- Activities as indicated on the itinerary

- Goods & Services Taxes as applicable
- Tips, international flights & transfers, additional activities, visa fees, travel & medical insurance, exclusive vehicle.
- All other expenses not mentioned in the “inclusions” above will have to be borne as additional expenses by the participants
- Any changes in the park fees or taxes.

Bandhavgarh National Park at a Glance
Bandhavgarh derives its name from Hindu Mythology, wherein it’s believed that Lord Ram built a fort (garh in local tongue) on top of the plateau and gifted it to his brother (bandhav) Lakshman. The name essentially means ‘The brother’s fort’
Wildlife at Bandhavgarh
A hotspot for wildlife activity, Bandhavgarh National Park boasts its own Big Five- Tigers, Leopards, Gaurs, Elephants, and Sloth Bears. As your guide takes you through the trails, wait for them to explain the intricate details of how some of the world’s most fascinating insectivores and colossal herbivores manage to thrive alongside these apex predators.
Vegetation
The unique vegetation of this mixed deciduous forest plays a very specific role in the ecosystem- while the evergreen Sal trees maintain the lush cover of green even in the most sweltering weather conditions, Mahua trees (indigenous to Central India), produce fruits and flowers used to make country wine – something that’s loved by herbivores and humans alike. These forested patches are interspersed with beautiful grasslands and rolling hills.

How to reach
Bandhavgarh National Park
AIR
Jabalpur is the closest airport to Bandhavgarh and it is about a 3.5 hours drive to the park. Jabalpur has regular flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Indore. The airport is soon going to have a new terminal, connecting more cities to Jabalpur.
TRAIN
Bandhavgarh is very well connected via a rail network. Nearest railway stations are:
Umaria: Just one hour’s drive from the station. Has a low frequency of trains from major cities.
Katni: Two and a half hours drive from the station. Good frequency of trains and better connection to other major cities.
Jabalpur: Three and a half hours journey from the station. Very well connected to major cities of India.
ROAD
Madhya Pradesh has excellent road connectivity and one can easily drive down to Bandhavgarh from nearby cities or other central Indian National parks. Distances from nearby cities/parks are:
Jabalpur – 4 hrs
Khajuraho – 5 hrs
Prayagraj – 6 hrs
