Dudhwa National Park

About Dudhwa

Dudhwa National Park is a hidden gem of the Terai region in Uttar Pradesh, offering a stunning blend of dense sal forests, marshy grasslands, and meandering rivers. Part of a vast protected landscape that includes Kishanpur and Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuaries and the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, Dudhwa is home to tigers, leopards, elephants, and the rare Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros. This diverse terrain also shelters the endangered Barasingha, or swamp deer, along with sambar, hog deer, sloth bears, langurs, and rhesus monkeys. A luxury safari here may also take you on a riverboat through Katarniaghat, where sightings of Gangetic dolphins and Indian gharials await. Set against the Himalayan foothills, Dudhwa’s tall sal trees and open wetlands create a picture-perfect ecosystem teeming with wildlife and migratory birds.
