As a family that loves wildlife, joining this safari felt like the perfect opportunity—and it turned out to be one of the best vacations we have ever taken.
The trip was exceptionally well organized from start to finish. Every detail, from the flights to and from the Mara to the accommodation, transfers, meals, and daily game drives, was thoughtfully planned. We never had to worry about logistics and could simply focus on enjoying the experience.
The wildlife sightings were phenomenal. We were fortunate enough to see four of the Big Five, missing only the rhino, which is known to be a rare sighting in the Mara. We spent quality time observing magnificent lion prides with cubs, cheetahs, leopards, hippos, baboons, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, Topis ("blue jeans" antelopes), Thomson's gazelles, and countless other animals and birds. What made the sightings especially memorable was not just seeing the animals, but being able to observe them for extended periods—sometimes for over an hour—while learning about their behavior and interactions.
Another highlight was the wonderful bush breakfasts and evening sundowners. These were beautifully organized experiences in stunning locations within the conservancy. Watching the African landscape come alive while enjoying breakfast in the bush, or unwinding with fellow travelers over drinks and snacks as the sun set across the savannah, made these moments truly special and among our favorite memories of the trip. The food and overall setup were excellent, adding to the magic of these experiences.
A special mention must go to Tima, our Maasai guide, whose knowledge, experience, and exceptional tracking skills greatly enhanced the safari. His insights into animal behavior, the ecosystem, and Maasai culture added tremendous value to every game drive.
The property we stayed at was amazing and beautifully located in the heart of the conservancy, offering breathtaking views of the landscape. One of the most magical aspects was listening to the sounds of the African wilderness at night—the distant roar of lions, the calls of hyenas, and the grunts of hippos.
The food throughout the trip was good, and while some travelers may find certain non-vegetarian dishes different from what they are accustomed to, there were plenty of vegetarian options available.
Another highlight of the journey was the wonderful group of fellow travelers. We met warm, like-minded people who shared a passion for wildlife and travel, making the experience even more enjoyable. The camaraderie, conversations, and shared excitement over sightings added a special dimension to the safari.
Most importantly, Suyash himself was incredibly warm, approachable, knowledgeable, and passionate. His dedication to ensuring that every guest had an exceptional experience was evident throughout the trip. His enthusiasm for wildlife and conservation was infectious and added greatly to the overall experience.
A Masai Mara safari had been on my bucket list for many years, and this journey surpassed every expectation. I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone who loves wildlife, nature, and adventure.

The safari experience itself was spectacular — incredible wildlife sightings, knowledgeable guides, beautifully planned drives, and a perfect balance of adventure, luxury and comfort. We saw an amazing variety of animals, including close sightings of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and so much more. The guides were patient, experienced, and fantastic with children as well, which made the experience even more special for our family, given my 8 year old has low patience and lots of questions.
The resort itself, Saruni Eagle, was another gem. Fresh food, cozy tents and warm staff. Given it opened out into the conservancy meant that the animal sightings could continue after the safaris ended as well.
What really stood out was the hospitality and attention to detail throughout the trip. Every transfer, stay, and activity felt thoughtfully curated, making the entire journey smooth and stress-free.
The Maasai Mara is magical on its own, but Ameliya Safari truly elevated the experience. This is my third safari with them and I’m definitely looking forward to doing many more in the future.
Highly recommended for families, wildlife lovers, and anyone wanting a well-organised and memorable Kenyan safari.

We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a tiger, and the credit goes to their incredible tracking skills and understanding of the jungle. Their ability to read the forest, recognise signs of wildlife, and be at the right place at the right time was truly impressive. It made the entire experience even more special.
A special mention to Vikas, whose knowledge and passion for nature genuinely stood out. From the rocks and trees to insects, birds, and larger wildlife, he had something interesting to share about almost everything we came across. He didn’t just point things out; he explained their significance and shared fascinating facts that made us appreciate the forest on a whole different level. His enthusiasm and deep understanding of the ecosystem were remarkable.
Aman was equally wonderful, and together they made a fantastic team. The safari never felt long or boring because there was always something new to observe, learn, or talk about.
What we appreciated just as much as their expertise was their humility. Both Vikas and Aman are incredibly soft-spoken, polite, and down-to-earth. Their warmth and genuine love for what they do made us feel comfortable throughout the journey.
We went in hoping for a memorable wildlife experience and came away with so much more. A big thank you to both of them for making our safari truly special.

Every aspect of the safari was very well planned which allowing us to focus entirely on enjoying ourselves, and having one of the most incredible wildlife experiences.
The Ameliya Safaris team were always on hand to ensure the travel logistics ran without a hitch. We were particularly impressed with their knowledge of the parks, the wildlife and local logistics.
For us what sets Ameliya Safaris apart is their personalised service. We never felt like just another booking. The team were attentive to exactly what we wanted from our safari and delivered the experience accordingly.
The accommodation at Kings Lodge and Rosetta House was excellent, the safari arrangements were brilliant, and our guide Aman and our driver Vikash were knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly dedicated. For us the highlight was of course, was spending time with the magnificent Tigers.

While regular tours to the Mara are usually in the Reserve, Ameliya chose the Naboisho Conservancy for our tour which was probably the best decision ever. It pays to go on a safari with people who know what they are doing 😊! I didn’t expect to see everything on my first trip to Kenya but 4 days later, I can’t explain how lucky we were with the best sightings ever. Our group of 15 & Suyash stayed at the Saruni Basecamp with amazing views of the Mara and amazing service, food and comfort from the day we arrived till we left. A big shout out to Tinka, our amazing Masai guide and driver who expertly navigated some extreme off roading to ensure we got the best views of the animals. The beauty of the Naboisho Conservancy is the absence of overcrowding making you feel like the Mara is just for you. Ameliya made this trip one of my best holidays ever with perfect coordination and the brilliant knowledge of Suyash and Tinka. I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to Africa! Trust me, if you go anywhere with Ameliya, yes it is expensive but totally worth every penny! You will never regret it!

This resort called the Denwa back waters escape truly lives up to its name.Superb layout out, picturesque views.The approach to the jungle by boat was unique.The flora and fauna of Satpura range is varied but the deer population was rather less.Cuisine was fantastic suitable for kids and their dads and grand dads too.

Safari with Suyash is always an amazing experience. This was my second and of course would love to do some more. Both the safaris were at Bandhavgarh National Park. Lots of tiger sightings, thanks to Suyash’s knowledge of tiger habitat and where one is most likely to see them. He is a storehouse of knowledge about wildlife and its wonderful learning from him.
Suyash’s safari trips are always so meticulously planned and his guests are always so well looked after, that one can only say that it has been an exhilarating experience.

I had enjoyed my safari in India with Suyash so much that I jumped at the chance to join the Masai Mara safari in May 2024. Although this was not my first safari in Africa, it was one of the most memorable. There were numerous close sightings of fascinating animals such as giraffes, elephants, hippos and lions. Suyash and the local guides were very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about wildlife, providing a lot of information and patiently answering all our questions. The accommodations at Leopard Hill Camp were spacious, attractive and comfortable - there were hot water bottles in our beds when we retired on chilly nights. The staff there were friendly, attentive and always helpful. We were treated to three delicious chef-prepared meals each day.
If you have always dreamed of a safari in Africa, this is the trip for you. I am already looking forward to my next trip with Ameliya Safaris.
