Surrounded by hills and granite rocks, Jawai is a unique safari experience where humans, animals, and nature coexist harmoniously. Located in the culturally rich state of Rajasthan, Jawai is a community-run Leopard Reserve managed entirely by the locals, with little to no government involvement. It is one of the best places in India to see and photograph leopards.
In Jawai, encounters with wildlife are punctuated by engagements with local communities and a deep immersion into the local culture. Meet and greet the local Rabari tribe, characterized by their big red turbans, livestock-rearing practices, and welcoming friendly nature.

Framed by granite hills and the ancient Aravalli mountain range, the SUJÁN JAWAI experience is defined by the magical intermingling of wildlife and rural village life that has coexisted peacefully for centuries. Each of the Tented Rock Suites sleep two, and come with its own private deck equipped with writing desks, lounge furniture & sweeping views of the Jawai wilderness.

Day - Wise Itinerary
Day 1
Your adventure begins with a flight from Delhi to Udaipur. Upon arrival, embark on a scenic 3-hour road journey to Jawai, a hidden gem nestled in the Aravalli Hills. You will travel with an Ameliya Private Guide and Host, who will go over the plan for the next few days and understand your preferences so they can fine tune things in a more personalized manner.
On arrival, settle into your room, have some time to relax and unwind before heading out for the evening drive. Be prepared to be captivated by the beauty of Rajasthan’s Jawai – India’s Leopard Hills.
DAY 2&3
Each morning and evening, your Ameliya Private Guide will lead you on game drives through Jawai’s rugged landscapes. This is the time to keep your eyes peeled for the elusive Indian Leopard. You may find them stalking prey along the hilly terrain, having a drink at a waterhole, or simply lounging on the rocks. Beyond the thrill of tracking, there are over a hundred species of birds in Jawai. Between safaris you’ll get the opportunity to explore the rich tapestry of Jawai’s culture. Head out on a captivating village walk, where you’ll gain insights into local traditions and connect with the warm hospitality of the people, or visit a historic temple, a serene haven amidst the vibrant landscapes. As the sun dips below the horizon on your last evening, enjoy a quintessential sundowner experience, sipping on refreshing drinks while basking in the golden hues of the desert sky.
Day 4
Rise early for one last exhilarating morning safari that’s followed up with a final heartwarming breakfast. Transfer to the Udaipur Airport, followed by a flight to Delhi and onward international transfers from New Delhi. Take with you unforgettable memories of your encounter with the captivating wildlife and vibrant culture of Jawai.

Jawai Leopard Reserve
Jawai is home to a wide variety of interesting animal and bird species, but there’s one predator that this sanctuary is famous for- The Indian Leopard. Being the apex predators of the region, leopards can be seen running wild and free in the rocky terrain of the Jawai, along with powerful herbivores like the Nilgai, the slender Indian Gazelle, crocodiles around the Jawai dam, and migratory birds such as flamingoes during the winter season.

- All tours operate on 100% advance payment.
- We require a 50% deposit at the time of booking and 50% 45 days prior to the trip start date.
- These rates are applicable to Indian Nationals only. All foreign nationals must contact us on Reservations@AmeliyaSafaris.com
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy
- 30% is non-refundable once the payment is done.
- The remaining amount will be refunded if cancellation is done 45 days prior to the tour start dates.
- Between 45-30 days, 50% will be refunded. No refund if cancellation is done between 0 – 30 days of the tour.
- Please note that the date of written communication (e-mail) of intent to cancel will be the date considered for the calculation of the cancellation fees. (email: Reservations@AmeliyaSafaris.com)
- The cancellation amount is calculated as per the total booking amount and not as per the advance deposited.
- No refunds in case of refusal to use a service/activity mentioned in the itinerary.
- Safari bookings are non-transferable as safari permits are issued by the Government under specified names and strictly enforced.
