2025 is a defining moment for wildlife conservation. A quarter of the century has already passed, and the challenges to our planet have never been greater. As India’s population grows and wild habitats shrink, the boundaries between human and animal worlds continue to blur. At the heart of this crisis lies a growing number of human-wildlife conflicts, threatening both communities and animals.
Ameliya Safaris, in collaboration with the ResQ Charitable Trust, is stepping up to address this urgent issue through our most ambitious conservation effort yet: the AmeliyaRESQ Fund. This groundbreaking initiative aims to rescue, rehabilitate, and release 500 animals back into the wild in 2025. Together, we are committed to fostering coexistence and protecting India’s incredible biodiversity.
The AmeliyaRESQ Fund: A United Vision for Conservation
The AmeliyaRESQ Fund was born out of the shared vision of Ameliya Safaris and ResQ Charitable Trust. Our goal is simple yet impactful: to create safe spaces for wildlife, mitigate human-wildlife conflict, and rehabilitate animals back to their natural habitats. With an initial pledge of ₹5 lakhs, we’re taking the first steps toward transforming this vision into reality.
Our work focuses on three key species, each representing unique conservation challenges:
1. Leopards: The Feared Species
Leopards are highly adaptive creatures, often living close to human settlements. However, their survival instincts bring them into conflict with humans, particularly when they prey on livestock. These encounters frequently result in fear-driven responses that harm both leopards and people. Through the AmeliyaRESQ Fund, we aim to rescue and rehabilitate leopards from conflict zones and release them into safer habitats.
2. Vultures: The Forsaken Species
Known as nature’s ultimate cleaners, vultures play a critical role in maintaining healthy ecosystems. Yet, their populations have plummeted due to poisoning and harmful medications in cattle. The AmeliyaRESQ Fund supports the rehabilitation of vultures currently in captivity and prepares them for reintroduction into the wild, ensuring they can continue their vital work as ecosystem guardians.
3. Turtles and Tortoises: The Forgotten Species
Often overlooked in conservation efforts, turtles and tortoises face severe threats from trafficking and habitat loss. Many are kept as pets, only to be abandoned when their care becomes too challenging. Our initiative focuses on rescuing these gentle creatures, rehabilitating them, and returning them to their natural environments, where they can thrive once more.
Why This Matters
Human-wildlife conflict is one of the greatest conservation challenges of our time. Whether it’s a tiger straying into a village, a leopard preying on livestock, or herbivores damaging crops, the repercussions are felt deeply on both sides. Communities face economic losses and safety concerns, while wildlife struggles to survive in shrinking habitats. The AmeliyaRESQ Fund not only addresses these immediate issues but also fosters long-term coexistence through education and awareness.
As Suyash Keshari, founder of Ameliya Safaris, puts it: “Conservation is about being able to save even that one animal or one specific landscape for generations to come. If every person does their part, we can create a world where humans and wildlife thrive together.”

A Call to Action
At Ameliya Safaris, we believe in the power of one. One leopard rescued. One vulture saved. One turtle returned to its rightful home. Together, these small steps lead to big changes. Join us in this journey to make a lasting impact on India’s wildlife and the communities that coexist with it.
Let’s protect our wild spaces, one animal at a time.
