It was over four years ago that I stumbled upon a rare sighting of a blue-eyed tigress in Bandhavgarh. Extremely shy, seldom photographed and quite young and inexperienced at the time. She had just left the care of her mother and was wandering across the reserve in order to establish her own territory. She would soon become one of the boldest tigers in the park, an extremely loving and caring mother and a showstopper among its visitors. A tigress named Spotty (Spot-T) after the T shaped marking on her forehead. In the past few years, I have been lucky to gain an insight into her life and watch her cubs grow and establish their own territories.
