Day- Wise Itinerary
Day 1
The expedition starts with your arrival in Cuiabá. Check into your hotel and spend a relaxing day – a chance to slow down, reflect on the experiences of the expedition, and unwind before your onward journey.
Day 2
Post-breakfast, a commercial flight will get you to Alta Floresta. From here, a scenic, hour-long drive will bring you to the banks of the Teles Pires River, where a boat will be waiting to carry you deeper into the Amazon.
The landscape gradually gives way to dense rainforest: one of the planet’s most biodiverse ecosystems.
Set within a private reserve, Cristalino Lodge offers an intimate introduction to the southern Amazon while maintaining a strong commitment to conservation. Named after the Cristalino River, which winds through the region before joining the Teles Pires, the lodge is surrounded by a landscape of remarkable character. Its dark waters, naturally tinted by tannins released from decaying leaves, flow through pristine rainforest and around striking pink granite formations — creating a setting that feels wonderfully remote and untouched.
Day 3 & 4
Your days at Cristalino will unfold at the rhythm of the rainforest, with guided forest walks, birdwatching, boat and canoe excursions, and visits to local conservation projects. The lodge’s two 50-metre observation towers offer sweeping views across the canopy, particularly magical at sunrise and sunset, with opportunities to watch scarlet macaws, araçaris, woodpeckers, tanagers and, with luck, the endemic white-whiskered spider monkey.
For photographers, birders and wildlife enthusiasts, the region offers an intimate way to experience the Amazon. Mornings begin early with breakfast before a forest activity, followed by lunch at the lodge and an afternoon exploration, leaving evenings to unwind beside the river and reflect on the day’s discoveries.
Day 5
On your final morning, you will have time for one last experience in the rainforest — perhaps a guided nature walk, a final birdwatching session, or simply a quiet moment by the river. After breakfast, travel back, continuing to Alta Floresta for lunch, followed by an afternoon flight to Cuiabá – marking the end of the extension to the Amazon.

Payment Terms
- All tours operate on 100% advance payment.
- 50% need to be paid at the time of booking, 25% is due 120 days prior to the trip start date and 25% 90 days prior.
- The preferred mode of payment is Bank Wire. All card transactions will incur a 3.5% service fee.
- Rates are subject to change and are not applicable for Christmas/New Years. Rates are valid for 2025 only. Rates for 2026 will incur a 10% hike.
- Any changes in government taxes and park/conservancy fees have to be borne by the guests.
- We reserve the right to revise any published costs without prior notice. However, confirmed bookings will be honored.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy
- 50% is non-refundable once the payment is done.
- The remaining amount will be refunded if cancellation is done 120 days prior to the tour start dates. Between 90-120 days, 35% is refunded.
- No refund if cancellation is done between 0 – 90 days of the trip start date. Amendment in dates within 90 days from arrival is treated as a cancellation.
- Please note that the date of written communication (e-mail) of intent to cancel will be the date considered for the calculation of the cancellation fees.
- The cancellation amount is calculated as per the total booking amount and not as per the advance deposited.
- No refunds in case of refusal to use a service/activity mentioned in the itinerary.
- All refunds are processed minus bank charges.
