Umred Karhandla National Park
Umred is a small sanctuary home to a variety of wildlife such as Tigers, Leopards, Wild Dogs, Jackals, and Jungle Cats thrive, along with herbivores like Gaurs, Blue Bulls, Sambar Deer, Barking Deer, Wild Boars, and Spotted Deers. Umred Karhandla has seen more tourists lately, attracted by its proximity to Nagpur and frequent tiger sightings. The sanctuary’s appeal also lies in its rich plant life, mainly ‘Southern Tropical Dry Deciduous Forests. The sanctuary features dry teak-bearing forests, with teak making up to 60 percent of the crop composition.
The Bamboo Forest Nature Conservancy is a first of its kind in India. In this model, the focus is on using hospitality as a tool for conservation while enhancing the skill sets of the local community. The aim is to create sustainable livelihoods for the community members, which in turn incentivizes them to actively participate in protecting the wildlife and biodiversity of the area.

Day - Wise Itinerary
Day 1
After a road transfer from Nagpur to the lodge in Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary, enjoy a fresh welcome drink and settle into your rooms by the afternoon.
Take some time to unwind in your rooms with your favorite drink, or indulge in a therapeutic spa experience, and enjoy your first sunset in the jungle. This is the time to disconnect and appreciate the open skies, fresh air, and sounds of nature.
At night, savor an authentic dinner made with locally sourced organic ingredients and sit by the fireside to enjoy the star-studded sky.
Day 2 & 3
Early mornings set the stage for thrilling adventures with a wake-up call before dawn and an exhilarating jeep safari in search of Tigers, Leopards, Sloth Bear, and Indian Gaur, along with hundreds of bird species.
Witness the jungle come alive during the golden light of dawn as you traverse the beautiful trails, with every turn bringing with it the opportunity to track or sight wild animals in their element.
Back to the lodge by late morning, you’ll have some time to unwind. Post lunch, leave for an afternoon safari which presents further opportunities to witness the wonders of this wildlife sanctuary.
Note: In place of any of the safaris, you can opt for a birding session, or simply rest at the lodge.
On the last night of this experience, let your guide take you to a beautiful spot where you can watch the sun go down with your favorite drink in hand, bonding with your guide and travel companions, reminiscing about the past few days and exchanging stories- the Signature Ameliya Sundowner.
Day 4
Embark on an awe-inspiring village visit for a glimpse into the vibrant culture, making a mental note to return soon.
After a heartwarming meal, bid farewell to the animals, your lodge, and your newfound safari friends (until your next adventure).

- All tours operate on 100% advance payment.
- We require a 50% deposit at the time of booking and 50% 45 days prior to the trip start date.
- These rates are applicable to Indian Nationals only. All foreign nationals must contact us on Reservations@AmeliyaSafaris.com
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy
- 30% is non-refundable once the payment is done.
- The remaining amount will be refunded if cancellation is done 45 days prior to the tour start dates.
- Between 45-30 days, 50% will be refunded. No refund if cancellation is done between 0 – 30 days of the tour.
- Please note that the date of written communication (e-mail) of intent to cancel will be the date considered for the calculation of the cancellation fees. (email: Reservations@AmeliyaSafaris.com)
- The cancellation amount is calculated as per the total booking amount and not as per the advance deposited.
- No refunds in case of refusal to use a service/activity mentioned in the itinerary.
- Safari bookings are non-transferable as safari permits are issued by the Government under specified names and strictly enforced.
