Social Safaris in Kanha
About Kanha
Kanha National Park is one of India’s greatest conservation success stories, where the hard-ground Barasingha has rebounded from fewer than 70 individuals to over a thousand through decades of protection. The park is rich with wildlife, including tigers, leopards, wild dogs, sloth bears, more than 40 species of mammals, and over 250 species of birds. Its landscapes of open meadows, sal forests, bamboo thickets, and gentle streams set against the Maikal hills create one of Central India’s most beautiful wildernesses. Guests can enjoy game drives, birding, and thoughtful nature experiences, guided by an Ameliya Professional Guide in an intimate group of 7 to 9 travelers.
