Walking Safari & Glamping

Walking Safari & Glamping through Central India’s Tiger Landscapes

About The Experience

Leave the jeep behind. This is the raw, immersive version of the Indian jungle on foot, under canvas, and utterly unforgettable.

Most safaris are limited by park regulations and the pressure of tourism, keeping you on fixed trails and timed drives. But this rare experience lets you step off the map. Walk through corners of the forest that remain untouched by wheels. Track footprints pressed into red earth. Hear langurs raise the alarm as a leopard slinks through the undergrowth.

Sleep in remote camps where the jungle hums through the night.

Offered only in select parks like Satpura National Park of Central India, this is one of the few truly wild walking safaris in India, led by expert naturalists, forest guards, and trackers who know these landscapes intimately.

This is an iconic Ameliya Safaris experience, especially curated for those guests who seek a off the grid adventure.

Why Choose A Walking Safari

When you’re walking, you’re no longer a spectator. You’re a part of the forest

A deeper kind of safari

Satpura is one of the few tiger reserves in India where walking safaris are legally permitted, offering a rare, and quiet immersion into the wild.

Track. Observe. Understand.

Learn to read the forest like a local: track footprints, identify calls, understand animal behavior, and follow subtle signs most never notice.

Slow travel, on foot.

Move at a human pace. These safaris are for those who seek mindfulness over mileage, it's a chance to connect with the jungle, step by step. And forget the noise of engines!

Tailored for seasoned explorers

Ideal for experienced safari-goers looking for something more intimate, reflective, and raw.

Trek details

Walks last 5–7 hours daily, with 2–3 rest breaks. Moderate fitness required; trails include ascents and descents. Routes and start/finish points can be customized to guest preferences.
