The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing you to enjoy the hotel’s facilities or simply unwind before your Indian adventure begins.

During dinner, you will meet your specialist cultural guide, who will accompany you throughout your time in Delhi. Over an informal introduction, your guide will outline the journey ahead and share insights into India’s fascinating history, culture, traditions, religions, architecture, and daily life. This is the perfect opportunity to ask any questions and gain valuable context for the experiences that lie ahead.

Day 2 - The Two Faces of Delhi

After breakfast, discover the grand avenues of New Delhi

Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens during the British Raj, New Delhi is a showcase of grand imperial architecture and elegant ceremonial boulevards. Drive past the iconic Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House, India Gate and Kartavya Path as your private cultural specialist brings the city to life through captivating stories of India’s ancient civilisations, Mughal splendour, colonial legacy and emergence as the world’s largest democracy, while offering fascinating insight into its diverse cultures, religions and traditions.

Post Lunch, step into the timeless world and chaos of Old Delhi, where the grandeur of the Mughal Empire lingers amidst lively markets, historic mosques, and labyrinthine streets. As you wander through its vibrant bazaars, your cultural specialist will bring the city to life through captivating stories of emperors, merchants, faith, and daily life, revealing how centuries-old traditions continue to shape one of India’s most atmospheric quarters.

Day 3 - Delhi to Ranthambore

Today, your journey transitions from Delhi’s grand boulevards and historic monuments to the untamed wilderness of Ranthambore National Park. After breakfast, drive approximately 380 km (5–6 hours) through the changing landscapes of northern India before arriving at your luxury safari lodge. Check in and enjoy time to relax amidst your beautiful wilderness surroundings as the sounds of the forest signal the beginning of your safari adventure.

Later in the afternoon, join your guide for a leisurely bird walk around the lodge. With over 300 species of birds recorded in Ranthambore, it is the perfect introduction to the park’s remarkable biodiversity before your first safari.

Day 4 & 5 - Ranthambore National Park

Begin the day with freshly brewed tea or coffee before setting out on an early morning safari into Ranthambore National Park.Β

Accompanied by your expert Safari Guide, explore ancient forests, open meadows, and tranquil lakes in search of the Royal Bengal Tiger, while also keeping watch for leopards, sloth bears, striped hyenas, marsh crocodiles, and an exceptional diversity of birdlife.Β
