Kaziranga National Park

About Kaziranga

Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a biodiversity hotspot like no other. Set between the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River and the Karbi Anglong Hills, this 1905-established park is the best place on Earth to spot the iconic Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros up close. Often referred to as “East India’s Big 5” destination, Kaziranga is home to Rhinos, Elephants, Asiatic Water Buffaloes, Tigers, and Swamp Deer, along with over 500 species of birds and rare mammals like the Western Hoolock Gibbon—India’s only ape species. The landscape features tall elephant grasses, dense tropical forests, and towering Hollong trees, creating a mosaic of rich and scenic habitats.
