Day- Wise Itinerary

Day 1 - 4 | Leroo La Tau, Boteti River

Overlooking the Boteti River at the western edge of the Makgadikgadi, Leroo La Tau places you at the heart of the action, where zebras, wildebeest, elephants, and predators gather. Over three days, explore the park on game drives, venture out at night to spot nocturnal wildlife, and, in season, enjoy boat trips along the river. From the lodge’s elevated perch, wildlife often appears right at your doorstep, making quiet moments at camp as rewarding as time in the bush.

Day 4 - 7 | San Camp, Makgadikgadi Pans

Travel by scenic road or light aircraft across the Makgadikgadi to San Camp, perched on the edge of the vast salt pans. Here, the focus shifts to desert experiences unique to this region. Walk with San Bushmen to learn their traditions, spend time with habituated meerkats, and explore the open pans on quad bikes. In the green season, the landscape transforms as zebra herds and flamingos move across the plains, bringing the pans vividly to life.

Locations

Magadikgadi Saltpans

The Makgadikgadi Salt Pans in Botswana shimmer under the sun, a vast white emptiness that once held an ancient lake. Silence stretches across the cracked earth, broken only by the wind and the distant calls of birds. In the rainy season, water returns, painting the desert with life as flamingos gather and zebras cross the horizon. The land remembers, and for a moment, it lives again.
